A seminar on the topic "Non-observed economy" was organized by the International Monetary Fund's Regional Center for Capacity Development for the Caucasus, Central Asia and Mongolia on January 27-31, 2025.
The seminar was attended by representatives of statistical agencies of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Mongolia, the Kyrgyz Republic, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
The following representatives from the Department of Macroeconomic Indicators and National Accounts of the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan took part in this seminar: Mekhmonov Jakhongir - Head of the Current Accounts Division, Anarbekova Dinara - Chief Specialist of the Accumulation and Satellite Accounts Division, Sattarov Zukhriddin - Chief Specialist of the Division of Formation and Analysis of Macroeconomic Indicators and Gafurov Bakhodir - Chief Specialist of the Division for Coordination of Statistical Assessment of the Shadow Economy.
The main objective of the seminar was to exchange experiences between participating countries, improve the knowledge and skills of participants in the field of the non-observed economy, and study methods for improving the sources of information used in the formation of non-observed economy indicators.
