On February 24-27 of this year, a delegation of the Statistics Agency, headed by Nurbek Abdukhalilovich Sheraliev, Head of the Department for the Organization and Conduct of Census Processes, and agency staff, participated in a census training organized by the Statistical Office (KOSTAT) in Daejeon, South Korea, in order to share experiences in the field of population census.

The purpose of the training seminar is to prepare for the population and housing census, to share their experience in conducting interviews, telephone and online surveys with colleagues.

In addition, the training participants will be introduced to new knowledge on the use of geographic information systems for data collection, processing and quality control.

For reference: the population census is a large–scale nationwide event that allows you to take a "snapshot" of the country's population at a certain point in time, and is a reliable source of information about the population.
