On March 13 of this year, a meeting was organized at the National Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan with representatives of the United Nations Children's Fund in Uzbekistan (UNICEF) to discuss matters of further cooperation.
The event was attended by staff of the Central Office, led by the Chairman of the National Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Head of the UNICEF Representative Office in the Republic of Uzbekistan, Ms. Regina Maria Castigio.
The meeting participants discussed cooperation in preparing for the 7th round of Multiple Indicator Cluster Surveys (MICS-7) in the Republic of Uzbekistan, developing and expanding statistical indicators of child poverty, child mortality, and other social statistical indicators.
During the meeting, it was noted that cooperation with the UN Children's Fund in Uzbekistan has also been reflected in the next UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework for Uzbekistan.
The parties agreed to further strengthen and expand collaboration in other relevant areas of cooperation.
