On March 18-20, 2025, the 10th seminar on the implementation of the Environmental and Economic Accounting System (SEEA), organized by Australia, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Kazakhstan, the Netherlands, Sweden and the USA, as well as international organizations such as the Institute for Consulting and Research on Sustainable Development, Eurostat, the IMF, UNEP and UNSD, OECD and UNECE, was held in Geneva, Switzerland.
Nigora Dehkanova, Chief Specialist of the Division for Compiling Consolidated Analytical Information on Agricultural Statistics within the Department of Agriculture and Environmental Statistics at the National Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, participated in the event.
The seminar was attended by representatives of national statistical offices, ministries of environmental protection, agriculture, finance, scientific circles of European and CIS countries, as well as experts from international organizations such as Eurostat, IMF, UNEP, UNSD, OECD and UNECE.
The main objectives of the session were the exchange of experience in the development and use of the environmental and economic accounting system, informing and identifying and analyzing the use of the environmental and economic accounting system in current practice in adapting to climate change, strengthening climate change, disaster risk management and biodiversity conservation, determining the future activities of international organizations, as well as updating relevant classifiers.
