According to the National Statistics Committee, at the beginning of the 2024/2025 academic year, the number of teaching staff (excluding part-time workers) in general secondary education institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan was 564,900.
This figure increased by 170,900 people, or 43.4%, compared to the 2015/2016 academic year.
Number of teaching staff (excluding part-time workers) in general secondary education institutions by year:
- at the beginning of the 2015/2016 academic year - 385,000 people;
- at the beginning of the 2016/2017 academic year - 390,600 people;
- at the beginning of the 2017/2018 academic year - 409,400 people;
- at the beginning of the 2018/2019 academic year - 444,200 people;
- at the beginning of the 2019/2020 academic year - 486,600 people;
- at the beginning of the 2020/2021 academic year - 508,000 people;
- at the beginning of the 2021/2022 academic year - 510,000 people;
- at the beginning of the 2022/2023 academic year - 521,600 people;
- at the beginning of the 2023/2024 academic year - 547,800 people;
- at the beginning of the 2024/2025 academic year - 564,900 people.
