An important cooperation has begun between the National Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Statistics Korea within the framework of the 2025-2028 Statistical Capacity Building Project. This project is funded by a grant of US$3.8 million under the Official Development Assistance (ODA) program of the Government of the Republic of Korea and is aimed at modernizing the statistical system of our country, introducing digital technologies and international experience.

Representatives of Statistics Korea are currently visiting the National Statistics Committee to discuss the final directions of the project. During the discussions, special attention was paid to improving the skills of personnel. In this direction, training courses will be organized for employees of the National Committee both in Uzbekistan and in Korea. In addition, modern classrooms equipped with computers and audio equipment will be created at the Institute for Advanced Training and Statistical Research. The project will introduce a CATI system (Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing), which will enable efficient and accurate sample surveys. It will also create a system for managing administrative databases, ensure data integration between government agencies, and conduct statistical analysis on automated and reliable platforms.

This project promotes the introduction of innovations and high technologies into the statistical system of Uzbekistan, as well as the development of the industry in accordance with international standards.
