According to the National Statistics Committee, as of June 1, 2025, there were 37,718 units active family businesses in the republic.
Their number has increased by 1,453 units since the beginning of the year. Moreover, when analyzed by sector, the largest share belongs to the trade sector (40.1%).
Number of operating family businesses by sector:
in the trade sector – 15,134 units;
in the industrial sector – 8,531 units;
in the accommodation and food services sector – 7,208 units;
in the agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sector – 2,576 units;
in the healthcare and social services sector – 634 units;
in the transportation and storage sector – 344 units;
in the construction sector – 302 units;
in the information and communication sector – 240 units;
in other sectors – 2,749 units.
