At a meeting held on June 1, 2020 under the leadership of the President of the country Shavkat Mirziyoyev on measures to improve the national statistical sphere, the head of our state gave specific tasks to develop the statistics system, increase the potential of specialists - personnel in this area.
In order to ensure the fulfillment of these tasks, the State Committee on Statistics carries out various activities of practical importance.
On October 20 of this year, the State Committee on Statistics together with the Tashkent State Economic University organized a republican scientific-practical conference on the topic "Reforms in the field of statistics: problems and solutions."
The main purpose of this conference is to ensure the execution of orders given by the Head of State, as well as to increase the scientific potential of personnel in the field of statistics.
The event was opened by the Chairman of the State Committee on Statistics Begalov Bakhodir Abdusalomovich and the rector of the Tashkent State Economic University Sharipov Kongratboy Avezimbetovich.
Continuing the event, the head of the department of international cooperation and information exchange Odiljon Mamadaliev elaborated on the issues of the national strategy for the development of statistics - a new stage of reforms in the field of statistics.
During the scientific and practical conference, Director of the Institute for Advanced Training of Personnel and Statistical Research under the State Committee on Statistics, Bakhodir Gayibnazarov, made a presentation on the topic: “Training in the field of statistics, conducting statistical research is a requirement of the time”.
Moreover, the head of the department for organizing and conducting the census processes of the State Committee on Statistics, Kobil Berdikulov, informed about the history of the population census, the experience of foreign countries and the essence of the population census in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Also, professors and teachers of the Tashkent State Economic University expressed their opinion on the topic.
At the end of the conference, achievements and shortcomings in the field were discussed, an agreement was reached on the further continuation of cooperation between Goskomstat and the Tashkent State Economic University, on improving the qualifications of personnel in the field of statistics.
