According to the State Committee on Statistics, in January - September 2020, enterprises of the metallurgical industry produced products worth 55.2 trillion soums. The index of the physical volume of this industry compared to January–September 2019 was 103.7%.
Navoi region accounts for 56.7 %, Tashkent region for 36.2% and the city of Tashkent for 5.6% of the total output of metallurgical enterprises in the Republic.
In January-September of this year, exports of metallurgical products amounted to 859.4 million US dollars. This amounted to 6.9 % of the total export volume of the Republic.
