According to the National Statistics Committee, as of October 1, 2025, the number of operating enterprises and organizations in the republic amounted to 460.3 thousand.
Of these, 390.3 thousand, or 84.8 percent, are small enterprises and microfirms.
Their distribution by types of economic activity is as follows:
in trade - 149,470 (32.5%);
in industry - 57,799 units (12.6%);
in the field of agriculture, forestry and fisheries - 33,223 units (7.2%);
in the sphere of accommodation and food services - 29,325 units (6.4%);
in the construction sector - 29,185 units (6.3%);
in the field of transportation and storage - 16,816 units (3.6%);
in the field of information and communication - 11,241 (2.4%);
in the field of healthcare and social services - 13,161 (2.9%);
in other areas - 120 109 (26.1%).
