According to the National Statistics Committee, as of November 1, 2025, 465.9 thousand enterprises and organizations operate in Uzbekistan.
The largest number of enterprises by type of economic activity was in the trade sector, the share of which amounted to 32.5%.
Their distribution by types of economic activity is as follows:
in trade - 32.5%;
in industry - 12.6%;
in the sphere of agriculture, forestry and fisheries - 7.3%;
in the sphere of accommodation and food services - 6.4%;
in the construction sector - 6.4%;
in the field of transportation and storage - 3.6%;
in the field of information and communications - 2.5%;
in the field of healthcare and social services - 2.8%;
in other areas - 25.9%.
