According to the National Statistics Committee, at the beginning of the 2024/2025 academic year, the number of teaching staff working in higher educational institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan (excluding part-time) amounted to 49.6 thousand people.
This indicator increased by 17.5 thousand people, or 54.5 %, compared to the beginning of the 2020/2021 academic year.
In the number of teaching staff, there were 26.7 thousand men (53.8 %) and 22.9 thousand women (46.2 %).
