According to sample household surveys of the National Statistics Committee for January-September 2025, 99 % of households living in rural areas of the Republic of Uzbekistan live in separate houses (private yards).
The distribution of households by type of housing is as follows:
- separate house (private house) - 99 %;
- apartment buildings - 0.9 %;
- other types of housing - 0.1 %.
