On November 11, 2020, together with the International Trade Center and the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the first meeting of the project "Facilitating the process of Uzbekistan's accession to the WTO" was held in the form of video conferencing.
The event was attended by responsible representatives of the European Union Delegation in Uzbekistan, the International Trade Center and the relevant ministries and departments of Uzbekistan.
Deputy Chairman of the State Committee on Statistics for Economic Statistics Ikramov Agzam Anvarjonovich, Head of the Department of Foreign Economic Activity and Trade Statistics Batir Irgashev, Head of the Department for International Cooperation and Data Exchange Odiljon Mamadaliev took part in the event.
Opening remarks were delivered by Mr. Jean Sebastian Ruhr - Project Manager, International Trade Center; Deputy Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abidov Badriddin Nurutdinovich, Head of the Cooperation Department of the EU Delegation in Uzbekistan - Mr. Francois Begot and others.
The meeting discussed the first results of the work carried out on the project "Assistance to the process of Uzbekistan's accession to the WTO", further plans for interaction and implementation of this project.
