For 9 months of 2020, Uzbekistan exported 48.9 thousand tons of watermelons worth 11.7 million US dollars.
According to the State Committee on Statistics, this year watermelons grown in the country were exported to the markets of 13 foreign countries, which is almost 8.5 times more than in the corresponding period last year by 43.1 thousand tons.
Over the past 9 months, Uzbekistan exported the largest number of watermelons:
Kazakhstan-32.6 thousand tons;
Russia - 12.0 thousand tons;
Kyrgyz River – 3.6 thousand tons;
Belarus - 272.9 tons;
Ukraine - 202.7 tons.
According to information, for 9 months of 2020, the regions that exported the largest number of watermelons:
Kashkadarya region - 8.1 thousand tons;
Jizzakh region - 6.2 thousand tons;
Syrdarya region - 5.7 thousand tons;
Khorezm region - 5.0 thousand tons;
Tashkent region - 4.6 thousand tons;
Andijan region - 4.6 thousand tons.
