According to the National Statistics Committee, the socio-economic situation of the Bukhara region in 2025 in figures (compared to last year):
permanent population - 2,107,035 people (as of January 1);
the volume of gross regional product increased by 7.2 %;
the volume of industrial production increased by 7.1 %;
the volume of construction work increased by 11.3 %;
retail trade turnover grew by 9.2 %;
The volume of market services grew by 14.0 %;
export volume increased by 32.8 %;
the volume of imports increased by 25.6 %;
agriculture, forestry and fisheries grew by 4.3 %;
real aggregate incomes of the population increased by 9.7 %.
As of January 1, 2026, 28.8 thousand enterprises and organizations are operating.
