On November 16 this year, meetings were held to discuss bills organized by the factions of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
At enlarged meetings of the “Milliy Tiklanish”, UzLiDeP and Ecological Parties factions, the report of the Chairman of the State Committee on Statistics Begalov Bakhodir Abdusalomovich on the basics of developing the draft Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Official Statistics” was heard and approved in the first reading.
For reference, during the development of the bill, the “Model Law on Official Statistics” was established for the countries of Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia, developed by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe and recommended for implementation at the international level in 2016.
In the development of the project, in addition to the Cabinet of Ministers and the State Committee on Statistics, relevant specialists from 10 ministries and departments are involved. Foreign experts from the World Bank also took part in it.
When developing the draft law “On Official Statistics”, the legislation of the CIS countries, Asia and Europe, as well as the law enforcement practice of the Russian Federation, Belarus, Kazakhstan and other states in the field of official statistics were studied.
