On November 25 this year, an online meeting of the Department of Agricultural and Environmental Statistics with representatives of the statistical organization of the Republic of Korea (KOSTAT) took place.
For information: this meeting was organized in accordance with the "Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Statistics" signed between the State Statistics Committee and the statistical organization of the Republic of Korea (KOSTAT) on August 24, 2011.
We remind you that this meeting was a logical continuation of the videoconference organized on November 24, 2020, during which presentations by experts in agricultural statistics were heard.
In particular, a presentation was made by the head of the Department of Agriculture and Ecology Statistics Gulomov Shovkat Abdurakhmonovich on the topic “Agricultural statistics (experience of the State Statistics Committee)”.
KOSTAT representatives Jaeyeol Kwon and Myeong Cheol Shin also made presentations on Agriculture Statistics - Agricultural Land Survey, Agricultural Census and Crop Production Cost Survey, Farm Economics Survey, Price Survey.
At the end of the two-day event, KOSTAT General Director for Planning and Coordination Gilyoung Kang noted that through these meetings the parties exchanged experience on all topical issues of statistical practice and will continue close cooperation.
