According to the National Statistics Committee, as of January 1, 2026, the permanent population of the Republic of Uzbekistan was 38.2 million people.
The structure of the permanent population by age groups is as follows:
younger than working age - 12.3 million people (32.1%);
people of working age - 21.3 million people (55.8%);
over working age - 4.6 million people (12.1%).
