On 9-11 February 2021, an online webinar was held between the Working Group on Forest Economics and Statistics of FAO and the Joint UNECE / FAO Section on Forestry and Timber.
Head of the department H. Yakubov, deputy heads of departments N. Dekhkanova, Kadirov A. and chief specialist of the Department of statistics of agriculture and ecology Gafurova A.A. took part in this event from the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Statistics.
More than 30 participants from 17 countries took part in the seminar, including representatives of the statistical services of the countries of Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, Central Asia, specialists from forestry departments, experts from the United Nations Statistics Division (UNSD), the Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE).
The session was aimed at improving the quality of forest products statistics, enhancing the capacity of national data collection systems and sharing experiences.
