On February 10 of this year, an expanded meeting of the Committee's Board was held at the State Committee on Statistics on the results of the V quarter of 2021. It was attended by the leadership of Goskomstat, heads of sectoral and territorial statistical offices, as well as employees of territorial statistical offices via remote video communication.
According to the agenda, the Chairman of the State Committee on Statistics Begalov Bakhodir Abdusalomovich, opening the meeting of the Board, spoke about the tasks assigned to the state statistics bodies in the documents and instructions of the President and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the effectiveness of the work carried out in the system in the first quarter of 2021.
Also at the meeting, in accordance with the agenda, on the implementation of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On measures to further improve and develop the national system of statistics of the Republic of Uzbekistan" dated August 3, 2020 and the "National strategy for the development of statistics for 2020-2025", the tasks were considered, assigned to the bodies of state statistics, as well as further priorities for the implementation of tasks to improve the statistical system.
In particular, on July 24, 2019, on the basis of the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers "On conducting a Multi-Indicator Cluster Survey in the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2020-2021," an exchange of views took place on the process and results of the Multi-Indicator Cluster Surveys (MICS) currently being conducted in the country.
At the organized online meeting, instructions were given on the work carried out within the framework of the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of November 11, 2020 No. 710 "On measures for the preparation and conduct of the population census in the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2023", priority tasks to ensure the implementation of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On population census”.
At the meeting of the Board, issues related to the work carried out in the state statistics bodies and the coverage of statistical indicators in the media, the preparation of infographic clips and broadcasting them on local TV channels, as well as the effective organization of office work in the State language were discussed.
Following the meeting of the Board, organizational issues and executive discipline were considered. It was also decided to take appropriate measures in relation to employees who did not fulfill their duties in a timely manner and to reward employees whose work is roughly adjusted.
