From November 1 to 25, 2021, population censuses will be conducted in a test mode in the Khojaabad district of the Andijan region, the Yukorichirchik district of the Tashkent region, the city of Khiva, the Khorezm region and the Yashnabad district of the city of Tashkent.
Thorough preparations for these events are currently underway. Training workshops for registrars were organized. Experienced specialists in the field give the necessary recommendations for the high-quality and efficient organization of test census activities.
It should be noted that the population census will help to obtain detailed information on the population of Uzbekistan in a certain period, its age, sex, religious and ethnic composition, marital status, education level, housing provision, economic activity, sources of income.
It will also be used to calculate the distribution of macroeconomic indicators per capita and labor resources, as well as the migration situation.
Registrars compiling housing lists have been issued a special uniform with the “Census – 2023” logo.
