In accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated November 11, 2020 №710, from November 1 to 25, 2021 in the Khojaabad district of the Andijan region, the Yukori Chirchik district of the Tashkent region, the city of Khiva, the Khorezm region and the Yashnabad district of the City of Tashkent, it is planned to conduct a population census in a test mode.
The head of the department for organizing and conducting the census processes of the State Committee on Statistics Berdikulov Kobil Gulomovich visited the City of Khiva, Khorezm region in order to provide practical assistance in the process of preparing for the census and compiling lists of housing.
During the meeting, K. Berdikulov made suggestions and recommendations for high-quality and effective organization of the population census in a test mode.
It was noted that the population census is a large-scale event of a nationwide scale, which makes it possible to obtain a “Photograph” of the country's population at a certain point in time and become a reliable source of information about the population.
The population census will help to obtain detailed information on the population of Uzbekistan in a certain period, its age, sex, religious and ethnic composition, marital status, education level, housing provision, economic activity, sources of income. It will also be used to calculate the distribution of macroeconomic indicators per capita and labor resources, as well as the migration situation.
