In January-March 2022, the value added of the service sector amounted to 6.4 billion US dollars. The city of Tashkent made the largest contribution to the creation of gross value added in this industry (22.6%).

In accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated November 11, 2020 No. 710, a population census is planned to be carried out in 2023 in all regions of the republic.

In January-April 2022, the highest indicator in terms of the volume of new construction, reconstruction, expansion and technical re-equipment was noted in Tashkent, where it amounted to 6.5 trillion. sum. Also, this figure was in the Fergana region - 1.6 trillion. sum, Samarkand region 1.6 trillion. sum and Surkhandarya region - 1.4 trillion. sum.

As of April 1, 2022, the largest number of mobile subscribers among the regions of the republic was noted in Tashkent - 6,667.8 thousand units, which is 22.3% of the total number of subscribers in the Republic of Uzbekistan. Further, in descending order, follow the Fergana (3,088.5 thousand units, 10.3% share) and Samarkand (2,843.8 thousand units, 9.5%) regions. A relatively low number of subscribers was recorded in Syrdarya (7133 thousand units, 2.4%), Jizzakh (985.1 thousand units, 3.3%) and Navoi (990.6 thousand units, 3.3%) regions .

In January-April 2022, the highest growth rate of construction work performed was observed in the city of Tashkent, where, compared to the corresponding period in 2021, it amounted to 111.2%. Also, high growth rates were observed in the Fergana and Samarkand regions, where they amounted to 110.7 and 110.2%, respectively.

In January-March 2022, the largest share of disbursed investments in fixed assets at the expense of the Fund for the Development of Water Supply and Sewerage Systems was noted in the Surkhandarya region - 1.0% of the total investment in the region was disbursed from this source of financing.

As of April 1, 2022, the number of mobile radiotelephone subscribers in the Republic of Uzbekistan amounted to 29 912.8 thousand units, and, compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, increased by 11 %.

In January-March 2022, all categories of farms in the Khorezm region produced 38.6 thousand tons of meat in live weight (101.1% compared to January-March 2021), 210.8 thousand tons of milk (101.9%), 100.9 mln. eggs (92.5%), 1,318 tons of fish were caught (71.5%).

In January-March 2022, all categories of farms in the Fergana region produced 40.9 thousand tons of meat in live weight (104.4% compared to January-March 2021), 211.4 thousand tons of milk (103.9%), 106.6 mln. eggs (103.3%), 1,212 tons of fish were caught (107.3%).

In the republic in January - April 2022, the number of newly created business entities in the industrial sector amounted to 6 017.

In January-March 2022, all categories of farms in the Tashkent region produced 69.8 thousand tons of meat in live weight (101.2% compared to January-March 2021), 159.5 thousand tons of milk (101.3%) , 223.6 mln. eggs (92.3%), 3,285 tons of fish were caught (128.3%).

The volume of transit cargo transported (by road and rail) through the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan in January-March 2022 amounted to 1,741.9 thousand tons.

In January-March 2022, all categories of farms in the Syrdarya region produced 14.6 thousand tons of meat in live weight (104.9% compared to January-March 2021), 54.0 thousand tons of milk (104.6%) , 35.9 mln. eggs (106.7%), 1012 tons of fish were caught (100.9%).

In January-March 2022, the gross value added of the service sector amounted to 69,692.6 billion soums, which is 1.2 times more than in the corresponding period of 2018.
