On August 18, Makhbuba Ganieva, the Chief Specialist of the Division of Coordination of the Statistical Evaluation of the Hidden Economy, made a presentation on the results of participation in the international seminar on the topic “Institutional sector accounts”, organized by the International Monetary Fund jointly with the Joint Vienna Institute on August 8-12, 2022 in Vienna (Austria).
Ganieva introduced the participants to the knowledge gained at the seminar, concepts and definitions of accounts and balance sheets of institutional sectors, institutional units and sectors, stocks and flows of non-financial assets, financial assets and liabilities.
An overview of the practice of compiling accounts and balance sheets of institutional sectors in other countries was also provided.
