In January-March 2024, the largest contribution to the formation of the republic’s GDP was made by the Tashkent city with specific weight of 20.1 %. Tashkent and Navoi regions occupy the next places with indicators of 10.3 % and 8.6 %, respectively. The smallest shares in the formation of the republic’s GDP belong to the Syrdarya (1.9 %), Jizzakh (2.6 %) regions and the Republic of Karakalpakstan (2.9 %).
In accordance with the preliminary assessment, in JanuaryMarch 2024, the GDP of the Republic of Uzbekistan in current prices amounted to 242 701.6 billion soums and, compared to JanuaryMarch 2023, increased in real terms by 6.2%. The GDP deflator index, in relation to prices in January-March 2023, amounted to 113.3%.
