In accordance with the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated November 11, 2020 No. 710 “On measures to prepare and conduct a population census in the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2023”, August of this year, the task was set to carry out work on compiling lists of housing.

According to the State Statistics Committee, in January-June 2022, the number of people who moved to Tashkent from other regions of the republic amounted to 25,290 people, which decreased by 4,170 people compared to the same period last year.

According to the results of January-June 2022, the gross value added of transportation and storage amounted to 19,127.8 billion soums, and increased by 23.3% compared to the corresponding period in 2018.

Currently, a pilot agricultural census is being conducted in the Djambay district of the Samarkand region and the Parkent district of the Tashkent region.

In January-June 2022, 108,918 marriages were registered, of which 1,362 marriages were with permanent residents of foreign countries.

According to preliminary data, as of January-June 2022, the income of employees in the Andijan region amounted to 21.3% of the total aggregate income of the population. For reference: in 2021 it was 21.7%, in 2020 - 23.5%.

On August 11, 2022, the Department for the Organization and Conduct of the Census Processes of the State Committee on Statistics organized a seminar on video conferencing with territorial statistical offices.

At the end of 2021, 138,105 small enterprises and microfirms in the Republic of Uzbekistan received a net profit. By type of economic activity, the largest number of enterprises that received net profit was noted in the field of trade - 60,566 units. Accordingly, in the service sector - 32,408 units, industry - 24,043 units, construction - 17,324 units.

At a meeting on measures to improve national statistics chaired by the head of state on June 1 2020 year, the issue of human resources was raised, and instructions were given to train and improve the skills of all specialists of the statistical system.

According to the State Statistics Committee, as of August 1, 2022, the total number of enterprises and organizations operating in the healthcare and social services sector amounted to 11,144 units, and 991 new enterprises and organizations were created in this area in 7 months of this year.

On August 11, 2022, a regular online seminar was held at the State Statistics Committee to increase human resources, broadly promote advanced and modern methodologies in the system.

Insurance services in the total volume of financial services for the first half of 2022 amounted to 7.2%.

According to the results of January-June 2022, the volume of gross regional product per capita of the city of Tashkent amounted to 23,806.6 thousand soums and, compared to the same period in 2021, increased by 1.4%.

Starting from August 4, in all regions and cities of the republic, about 7,000 registrars began work on compiling lists of residential buildings and non-residential premises where the population can live, as well as studying mahalla maps for their compliance with the real situation on the spot.

In the first quarter of 2022, according to the results of the survey, the largest share of small enterprises and microfirms that noted an improvement in the competitive environment compared to the corresponding period of the previous year falls on accommodation and food service enterprises - 43.1%, healthcare and social services - 41 .2%, trade - 41.0% and industry - 37.4%.

According to the State Statistics Committee, in January-June 2022, the volume of construction and contracting work performed in Uzbekistan amounted to 60.3 trillion. The growth rate was 106.2% compared to the same period last year.
