In November 2021, goods and services in the consumer market increased on average by 1.2%. Since the beginning of this year, the increase in prices in the consumer sector amounted to 8.6%, in annual terms it reached 10.3%.

On November 29-30, 2021, in the Tashkent region, Modern Journalism Development Center, together with the School of Data (the Republic of Kyrgyzstan) and the State Committee on Statistics, organized a seminar as part of a project to promote Data-journalism – data based journalism in Uzbekistan.

     On November 29 of the current year, a technical assistance mission on price statistics started its work in online mode at the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Statistics. This mission will be conducted by Mr. Ronan Lyons, IMF’s short-term expert on price statistics.

In the Fergana region, the largest part of the total income of the population was formed at the expense of income from labor activity (63.7 % of the total volume of total income), which includes the income of employees (22.3 %) and income from self-employment (41.4 % ).

Construction work in the republic as a whole, carried out by state organizations, reached 48.0 billion soums, the volume of construction work performed by non-governmental organizations amounted to 2066.6 billion soums, and their share is 2.3 % and 97.7 %, respectively.

Compared to the growth rates of healthcare services by region, in January - October 2021, the largest growth in healthcare services in the Surkhandarya region amounted to 67.9%. Relatively low growth rates were observed in the Andijan region - 110.0%.

  In January-September 2021, the GRP of the Republic of Karakalpakstan increased by 7.4%. In the GRP structure, the growth rates of agriculture, forestry and fisheries amounted to 105.8%, industry - 105.8%, construction - 109.8%, services - 108.9% and net taxes on products - 108.2%.

Investments in new construction amounted to 2278.1 billion soums, which amounted to 25.2 % of its total volume.

In January-September 2021, small businesses produced industrial products for 81501.1 billion soums.

In total, in January - October 2021, 850 beverage enterprises in the republic produced products worth 8311.6 billion soums. The index of the physical volume of the network compared to January - October 2020 amounted to 120.5%.

In the Fergana region, income from transfers, consisting of social transfers and other current transfers, is of no small importance in the structure of the population's income.

A significant part of the work was carried out in January-September 2021 for the construction of new buildings and structures. Thus, 82.3% of the total volume of construction work, or 1741.2 billion soums, were directed to the creation of new production facilities in the economy, housing and communal services and other social facilities.

In January-October 2021, Uzbekistan exported 240.2 thousand tons of polyethylene in the amount of 246.3 million US dollars to 24 foreign countries.

A relatively high share of services for the wholesale and retail trade in cars and motorcycles, including services for their repair, was noted in Tashkent (10.4%), Samarkand (8.8%), Navoi (8.6%), Khorezm (8,6 %) and Fergana (8.3%) regions.

In the technological structure of investments in fixed assets in the Jizzakh region, 6210.4 billion soums were allocated for the purchase of machinery, equipment and inventory, which amounted to 68.7% of their total volume, investments in construction and installation works reached 2498.7 billion. soums (share in the total volume of 27.7%), for other expenses 327.3 billion soums (3.6%).

In January-September 2021, the gross domestic product in the Republic of Uzbekistan amounted to 519 825.1 billion soums and increased by 6.9 % compared to the corresponding period last year.
