The volume of crop production in January-June 2021 amounted to 45.8 trillion soums, or 98.3% compared to the corresponding period of 2020. The share of crop production in the total volume of agricultural production amounted to 40.7%.
During this period, all categories of farms produced 4,724.0 thousand tons of grain crops, 3,174.9 thousand tons of vegetables, 1,543.8 thousand tons of potatoes, 211.9 thousand tons of melons, 938, 6 thousand tons - fruits and berries, 45.5 thousand tons - grapes.
The analysis of regions with a significant share of crop production revealed that 12.6% of the total production of grain crops in the republic falls on the Surkhandarya region, 17.9% of vegetables - on the Andijan region, 18.5% of potatoes - on the Samarkand region, 27.3 % of melons - to the Surkhandarya region, 25.2% of fruits - to the Andijan region, 30.1% of grapes - to the Surkhandarya region.
