In January-June 2021, all categories of farms produced 1,543.8 thousand tons of potatoes, or 103.5% against the corresponding period of 2020.
For the current period, in the course of the analysis of indicators of potatoes by categories of farms, it was revealed that 1,421.0 thousand tons, or 92.0% of the total volume of its production, falls on the share of dekhkan (personal subsidiary) farms.
Compared to last year, an increase in production was observed in farms by 7.3% and dehkan (personal subsidiary) farms - by 3.4%.
A significant share of potato production in the republic belongs to the Samarkand region (18.5%). In addition, high rates of potato production were noted in Surkhandarya (13.6%), Fergana (12.4%) and Andijan (11.0%) regions.
