At the end of January-September 2021, the share of industry in the GDP of the Republic of Uzbekistan amounted to 27.6%.
In the period under review, the share of the manufacturing industry in the structure of value added in the industrial sector increased up to 77.3% against 76.3% in January-September 2020. Accordingly, there was a decrease in the share of the mining industry and quarrying to 15.5% (in January-September 2020 - 15.7%).
According to the results of January-September 2021, in the structure of added value of the manufacturing industry, the largest share fell on the following types: metallurgical and metalworking industry (except for machinery and equipment) - 41.6%, food, beverage and tobacco production - 13.7%, textiles, clothing, leather and related products -13.3%.
