According to the results of January-September 2021, the GRP of the Samarkand region amounted to 37 784.8 billion soums and, compared to the corresponding period of 2020, increased by 7.1%.
In this region, positive growth rates were noted in the sectors of agriculture, forestry and fisheries - 102.4 % (share in the GRP structure - 44.4 %), industry - 109.3 % (14.2%), construction - 116.0 % (6.1 %) and the service sector - 110.6 % (35.3 %). GRP per capita increased by 5.1 % and amounted to 9 497.7 thousand soums.
