Head of State Shavkat Mirziyoyev chaired a videoconference to discuss measures to provide the population with housing and expand green areas.

As part of the implementation of the nationwide project “Green Zone”, tasks have been set for planting 200 million seedlings of trees and shrubs per year throughout the country.

It was emphasized that it is thanks to this that it is planned to increase the area of green areas in cities from the current 8 to 30 percent, which should make a single contribution to this large-scale project.
In order to ensure the execution of these instructions, the State Committee on Statistics organizes practical work within the framework of the Green Zone national project.

In particular, the team of the State Committee on Statistics planted 525 seedlings of fruit trees in specially allocated areas in the Tashkent mahalla of the Yangikhayat district, on the streets of the mahalla, around the apartments. Also, citizens who expressed a desire to plant seedlings in the yard were given seedlings of apricots, pears, cherries and apples.

Specialists of the State Forestry Committee held a separate master class and gave relevant recommendations to the employees of the State Committee on Statistics and the population on how to properly plant and care for fruit plantations.
An agreement was also reached with representatives of the district khokimiyat and mahalla on monitoring the care and irrigation of these plantations.
