On April 15 this year, a round table was organized jointly with the State Committee on Statistics and the Tashkent Financial Institute.
The event was attended by representatives of the central office of the State Statistics Committee, the teaching staff of the Tashkent Financial Institute, as well as scientific researchers.
At the event, Deputy Head of the Department of Agriculture and Ecology Statistics of the State Statistics Committee Urazbekov Humoyun made a presentation on the topic “Statistical assessment of the impact of agriculture on the macroeconomic indicators of the country”.
As noted, the total volume of products (services) of agriculture, forestry and fisheries in January-December 2021 amounted to 317,781.6 billion soums, including in crop and livestock breeding, hunting and the provision of services in these areas - 307,515.0 billion soums, forestry - 7 581.5 billion soums, fisheries - 2 685.1 billion soums. in the structure of GDP (GVA), the share of agriculture, forestry and fisheries in the period under review amounted to 26.9%. The contribution of this industry to GDP growth as a whole reached 1.1 p.p.
At the end of the event, the faculty and researchers of the Department of Statistics and Econometrics of the Tashkent Financial Institute received comprehensive answers from the committee's specialists to all their questions.
The “Prospectus of the State Committee on Statistics” and statistical collections on the activities of the committee were presented.
As a result of the round table, the parties agreed to further strengthen bilateral relations and regularly hold such meetings.
