On April 20 of this year, a round table was organized jointly with the State Committee on Statistics and the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek.
The event was attended by representatives of the central office of the State Statistics Committee, faculty, researchers and students of the Faculty of Economics of the National University.
At the event, the Head of the Department of Macroeconomic Indicators and National Accounts of the State Statistics Committee Abrorali Mamadjanov made a presentation on the topic “Main indicators of the system of national accounts”.
As noted, in 2021, the GDP of the Republic of Uzbekistan at current prices amounted to 734,587.7 billion soums and, compared to 2020, increased in real terms by 7.4%. The GDP deflator index, in relation to prices in 2020, amounted to 113.6%. In 2021, GDP per capita at current prices amounted to 21,039.3 thousand soums (or, in equivalent, 1,983.0 US dollars) and, compared to 2020, increased by 5.3%.
At the end of the event, the faculty, researchers and students of the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek received comprehensive answers from the committee's specialists to all their questions.
The book “Prospectus of the State Committee on Statistics” and statistical collections on the activities of the committee were presented.
As a result of the round table, the parties agreed to further strengthen bilateral relations and regularly hold such meetings.
