In order to ensure full accounting of the volume of export-import tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan, improve the data collection system necessary for the formation of indicators of tourism statistics and calculation of tourist income, by order of the State Committee on Statistics dated May 5, 2022 No. 28 in the period from May 10 to June 10 of the current selective observation of inbound and outbound tourism is carried out.
In pursuance of this order, Botir Irgashev, the head of the Department of Statistics of Foreign Economic Activity and Trade and the First Deputy Head of the Department of Statistics of the Namangan region, Bobirjon Kholikov, as well as responsible employees of the regional Department of Tourism organized a training seminar for supervisors and members of the working group on effective data organization in pursuance of this order. observations.
It should be noted that these observations determine the procedure for conducting selective observation of inbound and outbound tourism on the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan. It also provides a complete accounting of the volume of tourism in the export of the Republic, the formation of indicators of tourism statistics and auxiliary accounting of tourism.
Based on the results of observations, information is generated on the tourist flow, the purpose and duration of tourist trips, the composition of the expenses of foreign tourists on the territory of the republic and residents of Uzbekistan who have made foreign trips.
The export-import indicator for tourism of the Republic is calculated on the basis of the results of sample observation, based on the average cost per visitor.
The organization and conduct of monitoring will be carried out in cooperation with the Ministries of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, Investments and Foreign Trade.
