On April 20 of this year, a round table was organized jointly with the State Committee on Statistics and the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek.
The event was attended by representatives of the central office of the State Statistics Committee, faculty, researchers and students of the Faculty of Economics of the National University.
At the event, the head of the Department of Consolidated Information Work of the State Committee on Statistics Khurshid Zhuraev made a presentation on the topic “Macroeconomic indicators of the republic in the first quarter of 2022”.
As noted, according to preliminary data, the volume of GDP of the Republic of Uzbekistan in January-March 2022 at current prices amounted to 162,784.6 billion soums and increased by 5.8% compared to the corresponding period of 2021.
At the end of the event, the faculty, researchers and students of the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek received comprehensive answers from the committee's specialists to all their questions.
The books “Prospectus of the State Statistics Committee” and statistical collections on the activities of the committee were presented.
As a result of the round table, the parties agreed to further strengthen bilateral relations and regularly hold such meetings.
