On May 23-24 this year, in the City of Alma-Ata of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a regional seminar was held on the topic: “Interdepartmental coordination of the provision of health care, socio-psychological protection and police services to victims of gender-based violence in the countries of Central Asia”.


The purpose of this workshop is models of inter-agency response to gender-based violence in the region, as well as work on cases of violence, as well as models of standard operating procedures for data collection and analysis.


The seminar was attended by Deputy Head of the Department of Demography and Labor of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Statistics Abraev Sherzod Khurramovich.

At the meeting, an exchange of experience took place on issues of interdepartmental cooperation in combating gender-based violence and the effective use of statistical data in this, and further work was discussed.
