On June 16 this year, a press conference was organized jointly with the Department of Statistics of the Surkhandarya region, the territorial department of the Agency for Information and Mass Communications, the Cadastral Agency and the Department of the State Cadastral Chamber of the Surkhandarya region and the Surkhandarya regional branch of the Creative Union of Journalists of Uzbekistan.
Questions about the process of preparing for the population census were raised at the press conference. At the conference, opinions were expressed on 721 maps of the makhalla of the Surkhandarya region, remote settlements, on a radical update and high-quality drawing of existing maps.
Information was also provided on the implementation of the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 710 “On measures to prepare and conduct a population census in the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2023” dated November 11, 2020.
At a press conference, the Head of the Department for organizing and conducting census processes of the Department of Statistics of the Surkhandarya region Sirojiddin Astanov and the Head of the Department for Maintaining the State Cadastre of Territories Fahriddin Ashurov gave a detailed idea of this topic.
During the event, an exchange of views took place on what should be paid attention to when organizing and conducting a population census, on the measures that need to be taken in this direction.
