On November 17 of this year, the Agency of Statistics under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan held an event to prevent corruption risks in the activities of statistical bodies.
The event was attended by employees of the financial and economic department, personnel department and business administration, as well as employees of regional statistical departments.
The head of the internal anti-corruption control service of the Statistics Agency, Batyr Melikmurotov, spoke at the event.
At the event, the Working Group assessed 55 tasks and functions of statistical departments, of which it was noted that 2 of them were rated as high, and 5 as medium corruption risks.
It was also noted that in order to reduce the risks of corruption, preventive measures are constantly being implemented in the system, and appropriate measures to comply with the “Honesty Vaccine” are systematically implemented in the activities of employees.
