On April 8, 2024, the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan held a meeting with Levan Gogoberishvili, a representative of the International Monetary Fund's technical assistance mission for national accounts statistics.
At the meeting, the staff of the central office, headed by the director of the Statistics Agency Begalov Bahodir Abdusalomovich and Levan Gogoberishvili exchanged views on the goals and objectives of this mission.
The main purpose of the mission is to assess the unobserved economy and improve the indicators of national accounts.
In accordance with the mission program, on the first day of the visit, the responsible staff of the Statistics Agency conducted a general review of the existing practice of calculating the unobserved economy in Uzbekistan.
