On April 23, 2024, the Agency for Statistics under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan held a presentation on the results of the 26th session of the Working Group on Environmental Monitoring and Assessment, organized by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe on April 18-19 this year in Geneva (Switzerland).
According to the presentation, the Agency's employees were informed about the knowledge and skills acquired during the session by Gulomov Shovkat, Head of the Department of Agriculture and Ecology Statistics.
In particular, the presentation provided information on the integration and modernization of environmental data and indicators in support of the environmental assessment process, reviewed during the international session.
The achievements in the field of environmental monitoring and assessment, the experience of the countries of Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia in this area are also presented, as well as ways to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals are studied.
At the end of the presentation, answers to the participants' questions are presented in detail.
