From April 29 to May 2, 2024, a regional seminar on the topic “Statistics of international trade in services and digital trade” was held in Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia, jointly organized by the Statistics Department of the International Monetary Fund, the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and the Ministry of Finance of Georgia.

The event was attended by representatives of Armenia, Ukraine, Tajikistan, Mongolia, Jordan, Egypt, the Philippines, the Kyrgyz Republic, Georgia, Lebanon and Uzbekistan.

The seminar was also attended by the head of the Department of Statistics of Foreign Economic Activity and Trade of the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Irgashev Botir Samarovich.

At the seminar, participants were presented with the conceptual foundations of international trade, export-import of services and assessment of digital trade statistics.
