On May 8, 2024, a presentation was held at the Agency of Statistics under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the results of a regional seminar on the topic “Statistics of international trade in services and digital trade”, organized jointly with the Department of Statistics of the International Monetary Fund, the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and the Ministry of Finance Georgia, from April 29 to May 2 of this year in Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia.
At the presentation, Botir Irgashev, head of the Agency’s Foreign Economic Activity and Trade Statistics Department, who hosted the seminar, introduced participants to the conceptual foundations of international trade, as well as issues related to the export-import of services and the assessment of digital trade statistics.
Also during the event, an exchange of views on the topic took place and detailed answers were given to questions of interest to the participants.
