In order to deeply and comprehensively analyze the real situation of work carried out in the territories, promptly resolve the shortcomings and problematic issues identified in the regions, the management of the Statistics Agency also conducts research in the regions.
On May 17 of this year, the director of the Agency of Statistics, Begalov Bakhodir Abdusalomovich, based on the schedule of official trips carried out in May 2024, conducted an on-site study of the work carried out by statistical authorities in the city of Tashkent, including statistical observations, preparation for the population census, state numbering of houses, other issues provided for by the statistical program.
The head of the Agency first discussed the issue of the generated statistical indicators of the socio-economic situation of the regions and gave appropriate instructions to the responsible persons. The state of observations on the formation of indicators of total income of the population and households, and consumer spending was also studied.
At the meeting, in order to ensure the reliability of the consumer price index (inflation), employees of the price monitoring department were given suggestions and recommendations on the use of tablets to record price data.
In order to constantly calculate the producer price index for the sectors of economic activity, construction, services and wholesale trade in the city of Tashkent on a selective basis, special instructions were given to ensure the transparency of price index data.
Also, based on the schedule of preparation for the census, the state of work on examining the condition of installed license plates on houses and name plates on the streets was critically discussed, and strict instructions were given to those in charge.
During the meeting, instructions were given to conduct training seminars on submitting statistical reports, improving staff qualifications, timely completion of other tasks determined by the statistical program, as well as strict adherence to performance discipline.
