On December 2-11 of this year, the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan organized trainings were organized for employees responsible for ensuring openness in government authorities and departments jointly with the OSCE Project Coordinator in Uzbekistan, the Technology Park of Software Products and Information Technologies (IT-Park) and the Anti-Corruption Agency.
This training was held on the topic of increasing the openness of government authorities in our country and developing the open information ecosystem.
These trainings were organized in accordance of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated June 14, 2022 No. UP - 154 “On measures to introduce a system for increasing and assessing the level of openness of the activities of government bodies and organizations”, Presidential Decree dated April 9, 2019 No. PQ-4273 “On additional measures to ensure openness and transparency of public administration and increase the statistical potential of the country" and Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of December 23, 2020 No. 808 "On measures to further develop the field of open data in the Republic of Uzbekistan."
The following topics were discussed at the trainings: the concept of “Open Data”, machine-readable formats, open data portals, “Openness Index”, the latest achievements of our country in the field of open data and existing problems in this area.
More than 200 representatives from 73 ministries and departments responsible for ensuring openness took part in the trainings.
At the end of the event, an exchange of views took place on the further regular holding of these trainings on “Development of the field of open data”, improving the qualifications and skills of employees in working with open data.
