On February 13 of this year, the Information Service of the Statistics Department of Navoi region organized a press conference on the topic "The role of statistics in public life." The press conference was attended by specialists, local journalists, and media representatives.
During the event, the role of statistics in the development of society, its significance as a reliable source of information, as well as the role of statistical analysis in public administration and the social sphere were discussed in detail. Experts note that currently, statistical data is of great importance not only for government bodies but also for entrepreneurs, scientists, and the general public.
Also, the discussion focused on the issues of bringing statistical data to the general public through the mass media and presenting them in an understandable form.
During the press conference, the upcoming census in our republic was also discussed in detail. The participants were told in detail about the history of registration and the essence of regulatory legal acts, and it was noted that the effective organization of this process will have a positive impact on all spheres of society.
Following the event, the participants voiced a number of suggestions and recommendations for the further development of the statistics sector, improving the quality of data, and creating conditions for public access to statistical data.
