On March 28 of this year, a meeting was held at the National Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan with representatives of the European Union Mission in Uzbekistan.
The meeting was attended by the European Union Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Toivo Klaar, a staff member of the European Union Mission in Uzbekistan, Yana Kurpitsa, as well as the heads of departments of the central office of the National Statistics Committee, led by the committee chairman.
During the meeting, special attention was paid to the issues of reforming the statistical system, improving data integration, effective organization of the population census, as well as the development of the National Strategy for the Development of Statistics for 2026-2030.
In addition, issues of ensuring the participation of employees in the EU TAIEX program, as well as the development of cooperation in the field of technical assistance and information exchange, were discussed. Following the meeting, prospective plans for these areas were outlined.
