On April 3 of this year, a meeting was organized at the National Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan with representatives of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The meeting was attended by Nigina Abaszade, Head of the UN Population Fund office in Uzbekistan, Deputy Head Matluba Umurzakova, Head of the Population Development Program Azam Toshpulatov, and staff members of the central office led by the Chairman of the National Statistics Committee.

The event discussed issues related to supporting the census process in the Republic of Uzbekistan, assisting in the development of a demographic stability strategy, and enhancing the national statistical system.

Additionally, the participants of the meeting agreed to further strengthen future interactions in preparing for the population census and other relevant areas of cooperation.
