On April 3 of this year, a meeting was organized at the National Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan with representatives of the Asian Development Bank mission office in Uzbekistan.
The meeting was attended in person by the heads of departments of the central office, led by the chairman of the National Statistics Committee, and the head of the mission's operations in the country, Mirzo Iskandar Gulamov. The director of the Asian Development Bank's mission in Uzbekistan, Kanokpan Lao-Araya, and responsible ADB staff participated online.
The event discussed issues of assisting in the implementation of tasks and directions defined by Decree No. PF-27 dated February 24, 2025, in particular, the development of the National Strategy for the Development of Statistics for 2026-2030, operational transformation, capacity building of administrative data provider staff, and matters related to integration.
The participants also agreed to involve employees of the National Committee on Statistics in international trainings and seminars, as well as to further strengthen future interaction in other relevant areas of cooperation.
